  well when I buy chains I don't think I will regret not buying an 8hp. THis one is fine--2ft of snow no problem. Great machine for the price 650 total. Bought 13 mos ago for LI NY winter

  NY State has had a snowy winter much like years ago. Example 1960-61 Saugerties NY.
  
  My new snow blower exceeds my expectations in a number of ways. Cleared 28" of snow without problems. Electric start works every time. Gas and oil usage is very good. I am a well pleased customer.
