the plug connection to electric start it.
By Rod Jackson(Owner), Jan. 28, 2013I have the Craftsman Snow thrower 88791 Electric starter. Where you plug the starter cord to star it, the ground plug has come out the second time.I just had it replaced then I stored it tell yester day. I plugged the cord in to electric start it and the groud prong came out again. Sears has a BIG PROBLEM with this.
I never used it sence the Sears work person replaced it. Im am handicap. so I cant put it to start. I think they should fix it free. Im going to let Comsumer Report know about this problem as it may cause a serious problem..... -
Watch out for parts!
By Paul(Owner), Dec. 30, 2013I have been a loyal Craftsman customer for years until today. I was getting ready to put it away until the next storm when the cable to the drive snapped. I figured I could call sears and go to a local parts place and pick one up. Come to my surprise they no longer have parts store locations. You need to go to a dot com or phone in to get the parts now. I picked up the phone and called it in, the lady was nice enough but was reading off a screen and wasn't sure about the part (I hope it's the correct one). Here is the kicker, I won't get it for six days because there is no express over the holiday. There is a possibility of two more storms before then. Plus I figured it wold cost about 10.00 to 15.00, nope wrong again it's costing me 25.08 to get it in six days. Don't get me wrong I've had this machine since 09 and it has worked out until now. My next snowblower will be with a local shop where I know I can get parts.
